Cloud Co. Comm. College Presenting Fall Concert

Cloud County Community College’s Music Department will present a Fall Band Concert on Monday, November 18. The concert, which is free, will be at 7 p.m. in Cook Theatre on the Concordia campus.

The concert will feature the North Central Kansas Community Concert Band and the Cloud Kicks Jazz Band.

The NCK Community Concert Band is a non-auditioned, community ensemble that features primarily traditional wind and concert band repertoire. It is under the direction of Daniel Hill. The Cloud Kicks Jazz Band is an auditioned ensemble open to both college and community members. Chris Langsford, instructor in music at Cloud County, is the band’s director.

The Community Band will perform several selections – Intrada for Winds, Lone Eagle March, Whispers, Blue Ridge Reel, and Our America. The Jazz Band will perform Alligator Alley, Harlem Nocturne, Tango for Jam Jam, The Banana Song, Untold Story, and Two Down Territory.
