Cloud County Community College Commencement Set For Friday, May 16

Cloud County Community College's commencement is set for 5 p.m. on May 16 in the Arley Bryant Gymnasium, honoring 221 graduates. The event will be livestreamed. A reception for graduates is scheduled from 2:30-4:30 p.m., preceding a nurses’ pinning ceremony. The Distinguished Alumni Award will recognize the Arley Bryant Family.

Native American Artist to speak at Cook Series

Monte Yellow Bird Sr., a Native American artist, will present "If You’re Going To Shine, Shine Brightly" at Cloud County Community College on April 24. Known as Black Pinto Horse, he promotes harmony between humanity and nature through his art. The event is free and highlights the college's 32-year-old Cook Series, aimed at broadening cultural exposure.

American Astrophysicist, Strategist to speak at CCCC Cook Series

Emma Louden, an astrophysicist and speaker, will discuss "Return to Home, Return to Hope: Charting the 3rd Phase of Space Exploration" at Cloud County Community College on March 27. A Princeton graduate and Yale Ph.D. candidate, Louden also founded Space To Sparkle, mentoring students towards careers in the space industry while promoting STEM education.

Two Local Students Earn Honors At Cloud County Community College

Cloud County Community College announced the Fall 2024 academic honorees, including Ever Chaparro from Greenleaf on the Honor Roll and Makayla Herrs from Washington on the President's Honor Roll. Students must enroll in at least 12 credit hours and achieve a GPA of 3.66-3.899 for Honor Roll or 3.9-4.0 for President's Honor Roll.
