A serious crash involving a horse-drawn buggy and a car occurred Thursday morning near Parsons, Kansas.
According to the Kansas Highway Patrol, the accident happened around 8:15 AM on U400 near mile marker 389. A 35-year-old woman and a 16-year-old girl, both from Cherryvale, were seriously injured when their horse-drawn buggy was struck from behind by a 2023 Ford Escape.
The injured individuals were transported to Labette County Health in Parsons for treatment. Their current condition is unknown. The driver of the Ford Escape, a 27-year-old woman from Neodesha, was unharmed.
