Tragic Seward County Accident Claims Life of Teen Driver

A fatal accident occurred in Seward County on Thursday afternoon. According to the Kansas Highway Patrol, a 15-year-old girl, Emilee Megan Grace Hamilton of Liberal, was driving a 1993 Chevy 1500 when she stopped at stop sign on County Road 17, then turned onto U.S. Highway 54. Her vehicle collided with a 2025 Kenworth semi driven by James Campbell Bailey of Wichita.

Hamilton was killed in the accident. Bailey was not injured. Both drivers were wearing seatbelts.
