Fatality Accident Reported In Thomas County Friday

A fatal accident occurred in Thomas County on Friday evening, resulting in the death of one person.

The Kansas Highway Patrol reported that a 2007 Ford F250 pickup truck driven by Kade Homm, 18, of Flagler, Colorado, was traveling southbound on County Road 21 when it left the road and struck a tree row near the intersection of County Road CC.

Emma C. Brungardt, 21, of Blue Rapids, Kansas, a passenger in the vehicle, was pronounced dead at the scene. Her body was transported to Baalmann Mortuary.

The driver, Kade Homm, and other passengers, Alaura Crockett-Armijo, Kerstin S. Tommer, Lakeddah J. Downes, and Emma G. Krase, were transported to Citizens Medical Center with injuries. All occupants were properly restrained, according to the Kansas Highway Patrol.
