Law enforcement investigating a deadly shooting that occurred over the weekend in Wichita have identified the victim as 38-year-old Thomas Rhodes.
According to police reports, a 38-year-old man was fatally shot during a dispute with a homeowner in south Wichita.
Just before 10 PM on Saturday, Wichita police responded to a shooting call at a residence in the 3300 block of South Euclid. Upon arrival, officers discovered Rhodes with a gunshot wound. Despite medical efforts, he was pronounced dead at the scene.
Investigators determined that an altercation arose between the homeowner and Rhodes during a gathering at the home. The homeowner requested that Rhodes leave, but Rhodes returned, leading to a second altercation that resulted in the fatal shooting.
As of now, no arrests have been reported in connection with the incident.
