Law enforcement agencies in Kiowa County responded to a shots fired call in Greensburg on Monday afternoon. According to a press release, the incident occurred at around 4:30 p.m. in the 400 block of Main Street.
Upon arrival, officers discovered an 87-year-old man had fired shots inside his residence and barricaded himself inside. Local residents were evacuated, and additional law enforcement agencies were called to assist.
After several hours of negotiations, the suspect was taken into custody without incident at approximately 7:00 p.m. There were no reported injuries. The Greensburg Police Department is currently investigating the case, and the suspect’s identity has not been released.
