SuperStar Country 102.5 To Play The 80s Through Today!

Next week KQNK will be launching a brand-new radio station, on a heritage northwest Kansas radio frequency! For over 60 years, 1530 KQNK (originally KNBI 1964-1978) has entertained and informed listeners across the high plains. Paired with our fairly new FM translator station on 102.5, we’re proud to introduce a new type of country music station that plays the country music you grew up with, and some of the new country you love.

SuperStar Country will play the “stars” of country from the 1980s through today. Stars such as Garth Brooks, Blake Shelton, George Strait, Carrie Underwood, Tim McGraw and Jason Aldean. When it comes to our music, we’ll draw 32 percent of our playlist from the 2000s, 30 percent from the 1990s, 24 percent from the 2010s, 7 percent from the 80s, and 7 percent from today!

So, what does a typical hour of music sound like on SuperStar Country 102.5?

  • Something Like That by Tim McGraw
  • You by Chris Young
  • Undo It by Carrie Underwood
  • Blame It On Texas by Mark Chesnutt
  • Beautiful Crazy by Luke Combs
  • No One Needs To Know by Shania Twain
  • She’s Mine by Kip Moore

SuperStar Country 102.5 will be the radio home for Norton Community High School Bluejay Football, Girls & Boys Basketball, as well as Norton Wrestling. The station will feature Kansas City Royals baseball all season long! For those looking for K-State Wildcat football and men’s basketball, those broadcasts will remain on our sister-station, Classic Hits Q-106.7 along with Kansas City Chiefs football.
