Alec Marsh delivered an outstanding performance on Tuesday night as he led the Kansas City Royals to a 4-1 victory over the Baltimore Orioles. The young pitcher showcased his control and talent, pitching seven innings of two-hit ball. Marsh, who is in his second season, displayed remarkable improvement compared to his previous outings. He struck out five batters, walked only one, and retired the side in order five times. This was undoubtedly the best performance of his budding career.
Adding to the Royals’ success was Maikel Garcia, who played a crucial role in their victory. Garcia contributed three runs, including a two-run double in the second inning and an RBI triple in the fourth. His offensive support greatly aided Marsh’s dominant pitching, securing the win for the team.
Despite the challenging weather conditions at wet and chilly Camden Yards, both teams persevered through the persistent rain and cold temperatures. Unfortunately for the Orioles, their performance on the field did not provide much excitement for their supporters. They managed to score only one run in the third inning, courtesy of consecutive doubles by Jordan Westburg and Colton Cowser.
The Royals will take the field Wednesday afternoon for a 12:05 p.m. first-pitch before returning to Kansas City for a four-game series with the Chicago White Sox. Our next KQNK broadcast will be on Thursday night at 6:40 p.m.
