Class 1A Division II girls quarterfinals: Hanover Shuts Down Wallace County 63-32

Massey Holle and Ceegan Atkins each notched double-doubles, and Hanover held Wallace County to 19.6 percent field as it moved to 24-0.

Holle scored 10 points and grabbed a game-high 15 rebounds while Atkins scored 11 points and had 10 boards. Anna Jueneman led Hanover with 13 points.

Hanover was never in danger, opening up a 20-4 lead by the end of the first quarter.

Wallace County went 10 of 51 from the field and committed 25 turnovers, while Hanover was 21 of 59 from the floor and 15 of 30 from the foul line.

Hanover will meet Beloit-St. John’s/Tipton in Friday’s 2 p.m. semifinal.

Wallace County, which ended its season at 16-8, was led by Jersi Benisch’s 12 points.
