Kansas Ends 7-Game Winning Streak Saturday At Texas, 75-59

The Kansas Jayhawks finished the regular season today with a matchup against the Texas Longhorns at the Moody Center in Austin.

Kansas, who already wrapped up the Big 12 Conference regular season title earlier in the week, had their 7-game winning streak snapped by Texas, who won the game 75-59.

Kansas was plagued by poor shooting, hitting 9 out of 30 field goals in the first half for 30 percent, while only connecting on 3 of 12 shots from behind the 3-point stripe in the first half.

The Longhorns connected on 11 of 28 shooting, but also only made 3 of 11 from behind the 3-point in the first half.

The halftime score had Texas leading Kansas by 8 points 32-24.

Kansas improved shooting in the second half, connecting on 12 of 28 shots, and 4 of 10 from 3-point range. Texas made 14-27, connecting on 3 out of 10 shots from 3-point range.

Leading scorers for Kansas included Jalen Wilson with 23, KJ Adams Jr with 9, and Kevin McCullar with 8. The Longhorns were led in scoring by Sir’Jabari Rice with 23, Tyrese Hunter with 20, and Dylan Disu with 9.

Kansas next plays in the Phillips 66 Big 12 Conference Tournament Quarterfinals on Thursday at 2:00 pm. Against the West Virginia vs. Texas Tech winner. Pregame on 95.5 KNDY and Z-96.3 The Lake will begin at 1:30 p.m.
