Washington County Commission Meeting Minutes – April 10, 2017

The Board of Washington County Commission met in regular session on Monday April 10, 2017 in the commission room at the Washington County Courthouse. Members present: Tim Mueller, 1st District Commissioner, David Willbrant, 2nd District Commissioner, Gary Ouellette, 3rd District Commissioner and Diana Svanda, County Clerk to record minutes.

Consent Agenda items:
Payroll & Bills Totaling 335,281.09
Quarterly Financial Statement
David Willbrant made the motion to approve the consent agenda items, Gary Ouellette seconded the motion, All in favor, Motion Carried

Justin Dragastin, Dragastin Insurance – Commissioners inquired about Insurance on Fair Buildings.

Tim Mueller made the motion to go into executive session at 9:50 for 10 minutes David Willbrant seconded to include Diana Svanda for non-elected personal. Motion carried. After returning no action taken.

Justin Novak, Road & Bridge Supervisor – Justin reported that he had a repeater that needs maintenance work the cost of the maintenance would be 1400.00. Also there is another piece of equipment that needs to be fixed he had 3 quotes for this piece of machinery. Justin also reported that he received a phone call about someone hitting a bridge.
Gary Ouellette reported that he was contacted by Jim Burton, about a culvert, and also report he was contacted by Jason Oehmke about the rock on the road.
David Willbrant also received a phone call from Doug Geockel about rock on the road. Gary thank Justin for taken care of the potholes.
Tim Mueller ask Justin if his department had been taken any certification classes or going to training.

Sheila Ouellette reported on radios and communications between EMS and Fire Departments.

Dave White, Worldnet was in to discuss cameras, plexar and fiber internet with the commissioners.

Diana Svanda, County Clerk, Sonya Hiltgen, Register of Deeds, Francine Crome, Appraiser, Ann Hawk, and County Treasurer discussed updating the 400 system.

Tim Mueller made the motion to go into executive session at 11:50 for 10 minutes, Gary Ouellette seconded the motion to include Don Alldredge, Janitor and Elizabeth Hiltgen, County Attorney, under non-elected personnel, motion carried. After returning to regular session no action taken.

David Willbrant made the motion to go into executive session at 12:05 to include Elizabeth Hiltgen, County Attorney under non-elected personal, Gary Ouellette seconded, motion carried, after returning to regular session know action taken.

At 12:05 P.M. Gary Ouellette made the motion to adjourn. David Willbrant seconded the motion. Motion passed unanimously.

County Offices will be closed this Friday April 14, 2017 for Good Friday.

Next regular meeting is April 17, 2017.
