State roads start to reopen following severe winter weather

The Kansas Department of Transportation is making headway in reopening roads after a severe storm caused significant closures. All highways closed in northeastern Kansas

I-70 is now closed in both directions from the Missouri state line to the Ellsworth County line due to extreme winter weather and low visibility. Additionally, all highways in numerous counties, including Marshall and Johnson, have closed. Motorists are advised to check KDOT for updates and keep emergency kits ready.
