A Silver Alert for 87-year-old Ronald Base from Barton County, Kansas, has been canceled after he was found safe in Osborne County. He went missing on March 9, last seen driving a gray Dodge Dakota. Authorities thanked the public for their assistance during the search.

U.S. Highway 281 in Osborne County, Kansas, has reopened after a $19 million reconstruction project that began last March. The Kansas Department of Transportation will begin a chip seal resurfacing project on U.S. 281 in Osborne County on July 22.
