U.S. 281 Resurfacing To Start Today In Osborne County

The Kansas Department of Transportation expects to begin a resurfacing project on a portion of U.S. 281 in Osborne County on Monday, July 22.

Project work will consist of a chip seal on 16.5 miles of pavement starting near County Road 412 and ending at the south city limits in Osborne. Traffic through the areas where crews are actively working will be directed by flaggers and a pilot car. Motorists should plan for delays of 15 minutes or less during daylight hours.

KDOT expects the work to be completed in early August, conditions permitting.

Circle C Paving and Construction, of Goddard, is the primary contractor for the $600,000 project. For more information, contact KDOT Area Construction Manager Dan Moore at 785-302-6200 or daniel.moore@ks.gov.
