Emergency Water Shutoff Affects Downs Residents for Repairs

DOWNS, KS — Residents in several blocks of Downs are currently without water this morning as the City crew addresses an emergency water main leak.

The City of Downs announced that water has been temporarily shut off to facilitate necessary repairs to the damaged water main. Crews are working diligently and as quickly as possible to resolve the issue and restore service.
The affected blocks include:

  • 1300 block of Kansas Street
  • 1000 block of College Street
  • 900 block of College Street
  • 800 block of College Street
  • 1300 block of 4th Street
