KD Country 94 and Z-96.3 The Lake Return to Full Power, Expanding Coverage Across North Central Kansas

North Central Kansas – July 17, 2025 – Great news for radio listeners in North Central Kansas! 94.1 KDNS-FM, known as KD Country 94, and 96.3 KZDY-FM, Classic Rock Z-96.3 The Lake, are now back on the air at full power, following a successful reinstallation of their transmitters today.

Both stations had been operating at reduced power since a lightning strike in May caused significant damage to their broadcasting equipment. Factory technicians diligently repaired the units, and today, an engineer completed the crucial reinstallation.

During the temporary low-power period and the recent off-air interval for reinstallation, listeners were able to stay connected by streaming both stations online. This option remains available through the “KD Country 94” and “Classic Rock Z-96.3” mobile apps for Android and iPhone, as well as on their respective websites, kdcountry94.com and z963thelake.com.

The return to full power signifies a complete restoration of services for both popular stations, promising a stronger and more expansive signal for their loyal listeners across the region.
