Made for More: New Radio Show to Celebrate North Central Kansas Heroes

GLEN ELDER, KANSAS — A new radio show dedicated to highlighting the positive contributions of individuals in North Central Kansas is scheduled to premiere this month. Titled “Made for More with Heather Johnson,” the program will air on both KD Country 94 and Classic Rock Z-96.3, focusing on the stories of local entrepreneurs, community organizers, and “quiet heroes” who are making a significant impact on the region.

The show is hosted by Heather Johnson, a prominent local businesswoman known for her positive influence in the community. Johnson’s goal for the program is to provide listeners with “a huge slice of positivity with a garnish of smiles.” She aims to bring attention to people whose valuable contributions often go unnoticed but are crucial to strengthening local communities.

“Some will share their stories of entrepreneurship, others will highlight causes close to their hearts, and some of my personal favorites will be the quiet heroes,” Johnson stated. “Those who go about their everyday lives making our communities stronger and brighter without ever asking for recognition.”

Lydia Housh, General Manager of KDNS/KZDY, expressed her excitement about the new show and its host. “I am so excited to have Heather on board,” Housh said. “She will be a huge asset to our team. Heather brings an energy, positivity and credibility that’s hard to find.” Housh believes Johnson’s show will enhance the stations’ offerings in local news and “infotainment,” further supporting their community-minded goals.

Johnson hopes the show will not only be entertaining but also motivate listeners to recognize and appreciate the difference-makers in their own communities.
