Beloit Girls Soar to Victory at Valley Heights Late Invitational

Blue Rapids, KS – The Beloit High School girls’ track and field team put on a dominant performance at the Valley Heights Late Invitational on Thursday, May 8, 2025, securing first place with a commanding 204 points. The meet, held at Valley Heights High School, saw several area teams compete under the Kansas sky.

Riley County finished a strong second in the girls’ standings with 122 points, while Clifton-Clyde rounded out the top three with 106 points. Frankfort and host Valley Heights tied for fourth place, each tallying 52 points. Rossville finished sixth with 35 points, and Onaga claimed seventh with 27 points.

On the boys’ side, Riley County emerged victorious with a total of 182 points. A tight race for second place resulted in a tie between Beloit and Clifton-Clyde, both finishing with 118 points. Valley Heights showcased their strength on their home turf, taking fourth place with 93 points. Frankfort finished fifth with 51 points, followed by Rossville with 28 points and Onaga with 6 points.

The Valley Heights Late Invitational provided a final opportunity for teams to fine-tune their athletes and secure qualifying marks as the season progresses towards regional and state competitions.
