Olathe Man Dead After Saturday Night Shooting, Suspect in Custody

OLATHE, KS – A 21-year-old man is dead following a shooting Saturday night in Olathe, and a suspect is in custody.

Olathe Police responded to a call just before 10 p.m. on Saturday, March 29th, in the 1400 block of East Mart-Way Circle, according to Olathe Police Sergeant John Moncayo. The location is situated less than a quarter of a mile from Santa Fe Trail Middle School.

Upon arrival, officers discovered Landen Roggenkamp, 21, of Olathe, suffering from multiple gunshot wounds. Emergency Medical Services (EMS) transported Roggenkamp to a local hospital, where he was later pronounced deceased.

Police made contact with a 25-year-old individual at the scene. Johnson County Booking reports identify the individual as Armando Javier Guerrero. He is currently being held on requested charges of second-degree intentional murder.

Guerrero is expected to make his initial court appearance on Tuesday afternoon, according to online jail records.

The Olathe Police Department is continuing its investigation into the circumstances surrounding the shooting. Anyone with information is urged to contact the department.
