Z-96.3 The Lake Operating At Low Power; Stream Us Online & Our Mobile App

GLEN ELDER, KAN. – Z-96.3 The Lake has resumed broadcasting, albeit at a reduced power, following a significant equipment malfunction. The station’s primary transmitter experienced a “catastrophic internal failure” and has been sent to the manufacturer for repairs, leaving listeners with a weaker signal and a reduced broadcast range.

In the meantime, listeners can still access the station’s programming online at MyZ963.com and through their free mobile app. The station will provide updates on the repair process and the return to full power as they become available.

For fans of Kansas Jayhawk Basketball, Z-96.3 The Lake is offering streaming options through their website and mobile app, provided listeners are within a 75-mile radius of Cawker City. This restriction is mandated by the station’s contract with Learfield Sports and the Jayhawk Sports Network, limiting internet streaming to the licensed area of KZDY.

Listeners seeking uninterrupted news, weather updates, and country music can also tune into sister station KD Country 94 (KDNS-FM) at 94.1 FM, which remains at full power and unaffected by the transmitter issue.
