A man lost his life in a tragic hunting accident that occurred on Saturday morning south of Burrton, Kansas.
The Harvey County Sheriff’s Office responded to a call at approximately 7:10 AM to the 8200 block of South Prairie Lake Road. Initial reports indicated that three individuals were hunting in a duck blind when one person accidentally discharged a shotgun, fatally wounding another hunter.
The victim, identified as 41-year-old Aaron Snook of Goddard, Kansas, was pronounced dead at the scene. No other injuries were reported.
The Sheriff’s Office has concluded its investigation, determining that the incident was accidental. No foul play is suspected.
