Topeka police arrested 38-year-old Benjamin Alfano on Thursday morning following a two-hour standoff at a home in the 1900 block of SE Adams.
Officers responded to a domestic disturbance call around 7:30 a.m. Alfano, who was already wanted on an aggravated domestic battery charge, refused to cooperate with police.
After a tense standoff, officers successfully de-escalated the situation and took Alfano into custody around 9:30 a.m. He is now facing additional charges of aggravated domestic battery.
