Norton Legion Baseball Team To Play In AA State Tournament In Concordia | Games on Q-106.7

The Norton American Legion baseball team has successfully secured a spot in the 2024 Kansas American Legion Class AA State Baseball Tournament in Concordia. As the 8th seed, Norton will be entering the tournament with a record of 10-13. Their first game will be against the top seed Iola, which has an impressive record of 27-6. This matchup is scheduled for Friday at 7:30 p.m. and will be broadcast live on Classic Hits Q-106.7 in the Norton area as well as KQNK.com and our free Classic Hits Q-106.7 mobile app.

The tournament will also feature other competitive teams, including the 3rd seed Smith County (12-7) facing off against the 6th seed Independence (11-9) to kick off the event on Friday at noon. Following that, the 2nd seed Hiawatha (26-10) will take on the 7th seed Marysville (17-14) at 2:30 p.m. Then 4th seed Concordia (11-7) will play against the 5th seed Corning (14-7) at 5 p.m.

Depending on the outcome of their first game, Norton’s schedule for Saturday will be determined. A victory would lead them to face the winner of Concordia and Corning at 3:30 p.m., while a loss would result in a match at 10:30 a.m. against the loser of Concordia vs. Corning. The team and their supporters are eagerly looking forward to the upcoming tournament and are prepared to give their best performance on the field.
