Marysville Legion Baseball Team To Play In AA State Tournament In Concordia | Games On KNDY AM 1570 & 94.1 FM

The Marysville American Legion baseball team has clinched a spot in the 2024 Kansas American Legion Class AA State Baseball Tournament in Concordia. Marysville, seeded 7th, will enter the tournament with a 17-14 record and will play their first game against the 2nd seed Hiawatha, which has a record of 26-10. The game is scheduled for Friday at 2:30 p.m. and will be broadcast live on Classic Country 1570 AM & 94.1 FM KNDY in the Marysville area, as well as kndyclassic.com and the free Classic Country KNDY mobile app.

The tournament will also showcase other competitive teams, with the 3rd seed Smith County (12-7) facing the 6th seed Independence (11-9) to kick off the event on Friday at noon. Following the Marysville game at 2:30, the 4th seed Concordia (11-7) will play against the 5th seed Corning (14-7) at 5 p.m. The nightcap will feature the top seed Iola (27-6) taking on the 8th seed Norton (10-13).

Depending on the outcome of their first game, Marysville’s schedule for Saturday will be determined. A win would see them facing the winner of Smith County vs. Independence on Saturday at 1:00 p.m., while a loss would result in a match at 8:00 a.m. Saturday against the loser of Smith County vs. Independence. The team and their supporters are eagerly anticipating the upcoming tournament and are ready to deliver their best performance on the field.
