U.S. Highway 281 in Osborne County, Kansas, has reopened after a $19 million reconstruction project that began last March. The upgrades include roadway widening, new turf shoulders, and a bridge replacement. While traffic can now flow unrestricted, final paving and striping work will continue without further closures.

The Kansas Department of Transportation will begin a chip seal resurfacing project on U.S. 281 in Osborne County on July 22. The 16.5-mile project, starting near County Road 412 and ending at the south city limits in Osborne, will be managed by Circle C Paving and Construction. Traffic delays of 15 minutes or less are expected during daylight hours, with completion slated for early August. For more information, contact KDOT's Dan Moore.
