U.S. 281 Reopens in Osborne County Following $19 Million Modernization

U.S. Highway 281 in Osborne County, Kansas, has reopened after a $19 million reconstruction project that began last March. The upgrades include roadway widening, new turf shoulders, and a bridge replacement. While traffic can now flow unrestricted, final paving and striping work will continue without further closures.

U.S. 281 Resurfacing To Start Today In Osborne County

The Kansas Department of Transportation will begin a chip seal resurfacing project on U.S. 281 in Osborne County on July 22. The 16.5-mile project, starting near County Road 412 and ending at the south city limits in Osborne, will be managed by Circle C Paving and Construction.
