The Board of Education for Unified School District No. 392 met in regular session at in the School District Office, 213 W. Adams, Osborne, KS 67473, in the school library.

 

Ms. Stacey Carswell, President, presided and opened the meeting at 6:15 p.m.

Full board training on Negotiations by Webinar from KASB.

Rodney Boland arrives at 6:36 p.m.

Deb Webb and Nate Brown gave presentations on their classroom curriculum.

Tom Conway gave a report on A/R tiers.

Moved by Rodney Boland, seconded by Bobbi Schurr, to allow Lakeside Jr. High to host a track meet at Kaser Field.

Moved by Rodney Boland, seconded by Stacey Carswell to approve Professional Learning Communities for the 2017-18 school year and to continue with modified school day on Wednesdays’.

Allison Wolters and Stacey Carswell volunteer to help with graduation.

Moved by Stacey Carswell, seconded by Julie Winkel to accept the 2017-2018 calendar as presented with the addition of ½ days for PDC at the end of each nine weeks.

Mr. Hall gave his superintendent/principal report.

Moved by Stacey Carswell, seconded by Bobbi Schurr, to approve a training day on May 19 for SafeDefend training with no school for students.

Moved by Stacey Carswell, seconded by Jason Rothenberger, to go into executive session at 8:12 p.m. to discuss personnel matters of nonelected personnel to protect the privacy interests of the individuals to be discussed for a period of fifteen (15) minutes with Mr. Hall and Mr. Conway present.

Mr. Conway leaves executive session at 8:20 p.m.

The Board was declared out of executive session at 8:27 p.m.

Moved by Stacey Carswell, seconded by Bobbi Schurr, to accept Stacey Rietzke’s resignation as asst. high school girls basketball coach and to advertise for the position.

Moved by Stacey Carswell, seconded by Jason Rothenberger, to go into executive session at 8:39 p.m. to discuss negotiations to protect the public interest in negotiating a fair and equitable contract for a period of ten (10) minutes with Mr. Hall present.

The Board was declared out of executive session at 8:49 p.m.
