Public Health Advisories for Kansas Lakes Due to Blue-Green Algae

The Kansas Department of Health and Environment and the Kansas Department of Wildlife and Parks have issued a public health advisory due to blue-green algae. Harmful algal blooms can cause rash, vomiting, diarrhea, fever, sore throat, and headache. Pet owners should avoid contact and report incidents. Signs are posted at public access locations.
