The first practice will be held Sunday, January 11th, 2-4 p.m. at Palen Family Farms, 1031 180 Rd, Glen Elder, KS. The NCK Raptors team is open to boys and girls 5th to 12th grade from area schools and homeschool students in North Central Kansas, and is in the sixth year of the Interscholastic Kansas Cycling League. This coming season will be the first year fifth grade student athletes are welcome to participate.

Head coach, John McClure, commented, “We’re excited for our sixth season for the NCK Raptors and getting more kids on bikes. We had an amazing fifth year with our team of student athletes and we’re looking forward to growing our team once again!”

The NCK Raptors Mountain Bike Team, founded in 2020, is an official club in North Central Kansas and plans to hold practices starting in January for the spring event season. The team will compete in the Interscholastic Kansas Cycling League which provides programs to help students achieve both competitive and non-competitive cross-country mountain biking goals and comprises the easiest route for youth to get involved in the life-long sport of cycling.
