Kansas City Chiefs & New York Giants Release Week 3 Injury Reports

The Kansas City Chiefs and the New York Giants have both released their Week 3 injury reports ahead of their Sunday night showdown at MetLife Stadium. While both teams are dealing with key injuries, the Chiefs have some positive news on the offensive side of the ball. Pregame coverage Sunday on Classic Hits Q-106.7 KQNK-FM Norton will begin at 6:00 p.m. with kickoff set for 7:20 p.m.

Chiefs Injury Report

The Chiefs are looking to get back on track after a rocky 0-2 start. The team’s injury report shows a mix of players who are practicing in full and those who are limited or not participating.

  • Did Not Participate (DNP): Defensive end Mike Danna (quad) and cornerback Kristian Fulton (ankle) were both out of practice on Wednesday. This could be a significant blow to the Chiefs’ defense, as both players are starters.
  • Limited Participation (LP): Wide receivers Jalen Royals (knee) and Xavier Worthy (shoulder) were both limited. The return of these two players, even in a limited capacity, is a huge boost for a Chiefs offense that has been struggling. Rookie tackle Josh Simmons (illness) was also limited.
  • Full Participation (FP): In some good news for Chiefs fans, quarterback Patrick Mahomes was a full participant in practice despite being listed with a right wrist injury. Wide receiver Hollywood Brown (ankle), defensive lineman Ashton Gillotte (elbow), defensive end Charles Omenihu (hand), tackle Jawaan Taylor (knee/ankle), and linebacker Drue Tranquill (knee) were also all full participants.

Giants Injury Report

The Giants also have their share of injuries, particularly on the defensive side of the ball and their offensive line.

  • Did Not Participate (DNP): Linebackers Demetrius Flannigan-Fowles (calf) and Chauncey Golston (ankle) and linebacker Darius Muasau (concussion/eye) were all out of practice.
  • Limited Participation (LP): The Giants’ limited players include a number of key starters: wide receivers Gunner Olszewski (back), Wan’Dale Robinson (foot), and Darius Slayton (groin/calf); offensive linemen Jon Runyan (back), John Michael Schmitz (toe), and Andrew Thomas (foot); and running back Tyrone Tracy (calf) and defensive lineman Rakeem Nunez-Roches (foot). The status of offensive tackle Andrew Thomas, who has not played since a season-ending foot injury last year, will be closely watched.
  • Full Participation (FP): Defensive lineman Roy Robertson-Harris (knee) and running back Cam Skattebo (ankle) were full participants in practice.
