Marshall County Railroad and Road Closures Announced

FRANKFORT, KS – Marshall County residents should be aware of several upcoming and ongoing road and railroad crossing closures.

Work is scheduled to begin at the railroad crossing on Highway 99, just south of Frankfort, at 3:00 a.m. on Thursday, August 14th. The company performing the work anticipates completion by midnight the same day, though this is weather permitting.

In addition, the railroad crossings at Utah Road and 23rd Road are currently closed but are expected to reopen by Thursday, August 14th.

Finally, 23rd Road will be closed from Tumbleweed Road to Utah Road starting Thursday, August 14th, and will remain closed until Monday, August 18th.

Marshall County Emergency Management Assistant Director, Sara Ann Naaf, stated that updates will be provided if any of the timelines change.
