Kansas Woman Accused of Sex Crimes to Appear in Court

WICHITA, Kan. – June 11, 2025 – A Kansas woman accused of multiple sex crimes, Savana King, is scheduled to appear in Sedgwick County District Court this afternoon for a preliminary hearing. The 31-year-old is expected to be in Judge William Wooley’s courtroom, according to the Sedgwick County District Attorney’s office.

King faces serious charges stemming from a report made on January 29 by an 18-year-old woman. The accuser, a former softball player coached by King, alleged that she was sexually assaulted by King over several years, between 2021 and 2024, prior to reaching the age of consent.

Following the report, Wichita Police Officer Juan Rebolledo confirmed that King was arrested on requested charges including aggravated indecent liberties with a child, fondling, criminal sodomy with a child under the age of 14, and unlawful sexual relations. Sedgwick County arrest records indicate King was released after meeting the requirements of a $250,000 bond following a weekend in jail.

Public records show that Savana King previously played softball for Friends University.
