MANHATTAN, KS – A Riley County police officer, Stephen Clark, 42, of Manhattan, was arrested Wednesday in connection with a domestic incident, authorities confirmed.
Clark’s arrest followed an investigation into a domestic-related incident, which began with a report filed by officers on Monday. The initial report concerned unlawful acts involving computers. A 36-year-old woman was identified as the victim in the case, with Clark listed as the suspect.
Officials stated that Clark was taken into custody around 4:56 p.m. on Wednesday for alleged unlawful acts concerning computers. He was later issued a $4,000 bond and was no longer in jail as of Thursday morning.
In accordance with Riley County Police Department policy, Clark was placed on administrative leave on Monday, prior to his arrest.
