Fatality Accident Reported Wednesday In Doniphan County

A fatal accident occurred on Wednesday morning in Doniphan County, Kansas.

Just after 8:30 a.m., a 2012 Toyota Tundra driven by 37-year-old Maria Ann Keys of Bendena was traveling northbound on Kansas Highway 7, north of 120th Road.

The Tundra crossed the center line and collided head-on with a southbound 2002 Chevy Suburban driven by 22-year-old Kace Rayelee Keller of Troy.

Tragically, a passenger in the Suburban, 22-year-old Katlyn Folsom of Troy, was pronounced deceased at the scene. Folsom was transported to Becker-Dyer Funeral Home.

Both drivers were transported to Mosaic Life Care in St. Joseph for medical treatment.

The Kansas Highway Patrol reported that Keys was not wearing a seatbelt at the time of the accident.
