Washington, KS Teen Author and Illustrator Kady Toole Releases Fourth Book in Her Beloved “Izzy the Corgi” Series

Washington, KS—Teen author Kady Toole is excited to announce the release of her fourth book, Izzy the Corgi in the Sticky Situation. This marks Kady’s first book release since beginning her studies at Dordt University in Sioux Center, IA, in the fall of 2023.

Now a sophomore at Dordt, Kady is pursuing a double major in Fine Arts and Graphic Design. The initial draft and illustrations for Izzy the Corgi in the Sticky Situation were completed during her summer break, but the book was finalized this fall as part of a learning contract for Dordt’s Kuyper Honors Program. She collaborated with her mentor, Professor Sara de Wall, a Creative Writing Instructor at Dordt, to polish the story and illustrations.

Book Synopsis
Izzy the Corgi is back—this time, on a sticky-sweet mission to save the annual Maple Festival! When the sap goes missing, Maple Grove’s furriest detective must sniff out the clues and solve the mystery. Teaming up with an unlikely ally—a sweet-smelling moose—Izzy races to save the festival before it’s too late. Will she crack the case, or will Maple Grove’s biggest event of the year fall flat? Join Izzy in this syrupy, suspenseful adventure that will delight readers of all ages!

About the Author and Series
Kady has previously authored and illustrated three children’s books in the Izzy the Corgi series:

Since then, her books have sold over 3,500 copies and have been featured on TV programs, in newspapers, and on radio stations.

Beyond writing, Kady leads engaging school programs, classroom presentations, adult club talks, and library events across Kansas and Nebraska.
