Hutchinson fire officials are investigating an incident that occurred in a food trailer at the Kansas State Fair on Tuesday evening, resulting in injuries to several people.
At approximately 6:25 PM, the Hutchinson Fire Department responded to a reported fire at a concession trailer located in the south corridor of the fairgrounds. Upon arrival, crews discovered that the trailer had experienced a small explosion.
Two individuals were transported to Hutchinson Regional Medical Center with injuries, while others sustained minor injuries and declined medical attention. The Hutchinson Fire Marshal, in cooperation with State Fire Marshals, is currently conducting an investigation to determine the cause of the incident.
