K-14 bridge repair to begin Monday in Mitchell County

Beginning Monday, May 20, the Kansas Department of Transportation plans to begin a
bridge repair on K-14 in Mitchell County, located 14 miles south of Beloit and 2.5 miles
north of the Lincoln/Mitchell County line.

Temporary traffic signals will direct one 12-foot lane of traffic through construction at a
reduced speed. Drivers should anticipate delays of up to 10 minutes.

L & M Contractors Inc. of Great Bend is the prime contractor for this $627,960.50 project
and has scheduled work to be completed in September, weather permitting.

KDOT urges all motorists to be alert and obey the warning signs when approaching and
driving through a highway work zone. To stay aware of all road construction projects
across Kansas, go to www.kandrive.org or call 5-1-1.
