ELLSWORTH COUNTY – The Kansas Bureau of Investigation (KBI) is assisting the Ellsworth County Sheriff’s Office with investigating the circumstances surrounding the death of a 5-year-old in Brookville, Kansas.

The Kansas Bureau of Investigation is examining the death of a 17-year-old at the North Central Kansas Regional Juvenile Detention Center. An autopsy revealed accidental death due to combined intoxication from prescribed medications, with contributing factors including cardiomegaly, obesity, and asthma.
