A Kansas Department of Transportation mill and overlay project is scheduled for U.S. 36 in Marshall County. On Tuesday, June 16, work will begin at the K-87 junction and proceed west to 20th Street in Marysville.
Traffic will be restricted to one lane in the active work area and directed by a pilot car and flaggers. Drivers should plan for delays of up to 15 minutes.
A 12-foot width restriction will also be in place through the work zone.
Work will occur during daylight hours Monday through Friday, and Saturdays as needed. The project is expected to be complete in late August, conditions permitting.
Hall Brothers Inc., of Marysville, is the prime contractor on the $5.5 million project.
KDOT urges motorists to stay alert and follow posted signs in all work zones. For current road conditions, visit KanDrive.gov or call 511. For updates on highway projects in northeast Kansas, visit ksdot.gov/NortheastNews.
