The Kansas Department of Transportation has resumed work on a mill and overlay project in Marshall County. Work will be done on K-9 from the Marshall/Washington county line to Waterville and U.S. 77 from Waterville to the K-9 junction east of Blue Rapids.
Traffic will be restricted to one lane and directed by a pilot car and flaggers where crews are actively working. Motorists should be prepared for delays of up to 15 minutes.
A 12-foot width restriction and 54-foot length restriction will be in effect through the work zone.
Work will occur during daylight hours Monday through Friday, and Saturdays as needed. Anticipated completion is late June, conditions permitting.
KDOT urges motorists to stay alert and follow posted signs in all work zones. For current road conditions, visit KanDrive.gov or call 511. For updates on highway projects in northeast Kansas, visit ksdot.gov/NortheastNews.
