Marshall County Sheriff Issues Warning Regarding Possible Police Impersonator in White Utility Truck

MARSHALL COUNTY — The Marshall County Sheriff’s Office (MCSO) has issued an urgent public safety notice following reports of a suspicious vehicle possibly impersonating law enforcement in the area.

According to the Sheriff’s Office, they have received reports regarding a white utility-style truck that may be attempting to conduct traffic stops while posing as a police vehicle.

Authorities are urging the public to exercise extreme caution. The MCSO has advised drivers that if they encounter a vehicle matching this description attempting to pull them over, they should not stop or comply with the driver.
Instead, motorists are instructed to call 911 immediately.

Once on the line, emergency dispatchers will be able to verify if the vehicle attempting the stop belongs to a legitimate Deputy. Dispatchers will then provide the driver with specific instructions to ensure their safety.

The Sheriff’s Office is asking the community to remain vigilant and to report any suspicious activity immediately.

“Your awareness and quick action can help keep our community safe,” the Sheriff’s Office stated in the release.

Residents with information regarding the suspicious truck or the individual driving it are encouraged to contact the Marshall County Sheriff’s Office.
