Onaga Woman Arrested for Attempted Murder in Wamego Incident

Wamego, KS – An Onaga woman was arrested early Sunday morning on charges of attempted murder after allegedly intentionally running over another woman with a vehicle in rural Wamego.

According to a release from the Pottawatomie County Sheriff’s Office, authorities received a 911 call shortly after 12:30 a.m. Sunday reporting a woman had been run over in the 20000 block of Pauling Run Road.

Sheriff’s deputies responded to the scene and identified the suspect as 43-year-old Dana Blume of Onaga. Investigations revealed that Blume allegedly intentionally struck 52-year-old Kara Murray of Wamego with a vehicle following an argument.

Murray sustained serious injuries and was airlifted to an area hospital, where she is currently receiving treatment.

Blume was arrested for attempted 2nd-degree murder and has been booked into the Pottawatomie County Jail.
