Silver Alert Canceled: Missing Ellis County Man Found Safe

ELLIS COUNTY, KS – A statewide Silver Alert issued for 81-year-old Roger Batman has been canceled after he was located and confirmed safe, the Ellis County Sheriff’s Office reported.

Earlier, the Kansas Bureau of Investigation (KBI) had issued the alert at the request of the Ellis County Sheriff’s Office, seeking the public’s assistance in locating Batman, who had been missing since Monday evening.

Batman, who suffers from diminished cognitive abilities and high blood pressure, was last seen leaving his Hays home at approximately 5:00 p.m. He had told his wife he intended to travel to Wichita, but his actual direction and destination remained unknown at the time.
