Hill City School Threat Deemed Not Credible

On Tuesday, the Hill City Police Department received a report of a potential threat to a Hill City school. After investigating, authorities determined the threat to be not credible.

As a precautionary measure, officers increased their presence near the school on Wednesday. A person of interest was identified and cooperated fully with law enforcement. A subsequent search of the individual and their residence yielded no weapons or illegal substances.

At this time, there is no ongoing threat to public safety or the Hill City schools.
