A fire broke out at the Woodspring Suites in west Topeka on Tuesday, December 10th, around 5:30 PM. The Topeka Fire Department (TFD) responded to the scene, where they found heavy smoke billowing from a single room on the second floor.
One individual was injured in the fire and transported to a local hospital. Their injuries are believed to be non-life-threatening.
The cause of the fire is currently under investigation.
