The Riley County Police Department is investigating a reported scam involving a 38-year-old man who withdrew $4,000 from his bank and deposited it into a CoinStar machine.
The incident occurred in the 1000 block of S. Seth Child Road on Tuesday at approximately 1 PM. The victim claimed to have been deceived by an unknown individual posing as a lieutenant from the Riley County Police Department.
