Washington County Commission Meeting Minutes – March 20, 2017

The Board of Washington County Commission met in regular session on Monday March 20, 2017 in the commission room at the Washington County Courthouse. Members present: Tim Mueller, 1st District Commissioner, David Willbrant 2nd District Commissioner, Gary Ouellette 3rd District Commissioner, and Kathy Fritz, Deputy County Clerk to record minutes.

Tim Mueller reported that he had attended the North Central Juvenile Detention Board Meeting, CERT meeting and the North Central County Clerk’s Meeting.

David Willbrant made the motion to approve the consent agenda which included change order 2016-74 and the donation of $100 to the Linn Post Prom Committee. Gary Ouellette seconded the motion. Motion passed unanimously.

Ronald Elsasser, DARE Officer, asked permission for the DARE students to attend a ball game. Gary Ouellette moved to sponsor the DARE trip to the Kansas City Royals ball game. David Willbrant seconded the motion. Motion passed unanimously.

Justin Novak, Road and Bridge Supervisor, was given permission to send three employees to an oil distributor training in Wichita on March 22. A bridge on the Charleston Township and Franklin Township line and a bridge in Charleston Township will be replaced this year.

David Willbrant made a motion to donate $100 to the Hanover After Prom Party. Gary Ouellette seconded the motion. Motion passed unanimously.

Tiffany Hayman, County Health Administrator, provided the board her monthly account of the services her department had provided for February. Tim Mueller, Chairman, signed travel requests for Tiffany Hayman.

David Roblez, temporary janitor, met with the board. David Willbrant made the motion to go into executive session for ten minutes under personnel exception for non-elected personnel with David. Gary Ouellette seconded the motion. Motion passed unanimously. No action was taken upon returning to regular session.

At 11:18 A.M. David Willbrant made the motion to adjourn. Gary Ouellette seconded the motion. Motion passed unanimously.

Next regular meeting is March 27, 2017.
