The second race of Kansas NICA's mountain bike series, ‘Crankin’ the Creek’, took place on April 12th at Fancy Creek State Park in Randolph, KS. With 199 athletes from thirteen teams navigating challenging terrain, notable performances included Addisen Schreiber winning the JV2 girls category. Coach Craig Underwood praised the tough conditions faced by athletes.

Residents north and west of Randolph in Riley County should prepare for potential evacuation due to the spreading Axelton Hill Road fire. With strong winds propelling the wildfire in a northwestern direction, those living between Green-Randolph Road and Rose Hill Road, west to the Riley County/Clay County border, must stay alert and be ready to evacuate quickly. US Highway 77 is closed for safety.
