Kansas prosecutor accused of soliciting nude photos from clients, leaking police targets

A Kansas prosecutor is accused of pressuring about 50 women to send him nude photos and sharing secret police information. The Kansas Attorney General’s Office has known about the alleged crimes for over a year. The prosecutor, Linus Thuston, has admitted to soliciting nude photos from a woman but denies other allegations. County officials and law enforcement are frustrated with his leniency in criminal cases and conflicts of interest. The sheriff’s office is investigating the matter, and new allegations have emerged in an opioid drug case. Thuston has been accused of providing confidential information to a woman and seeking nude photos from clients, but he denies some of the accusations. The case is pending review by the Attorney General’s Office.
