K-9 resurfacing to resume April 7 in Cloud County

Starting April 7, the Kansas Department of Transportation will resume resurfacing K-9 in Cloud County, from Concordia southward for 6 miles. Expect delays up to 15 minutes due to one-lane traffic guided by flaggers. The $4.07 million project by Shilling Construction Co. is set to finish by early May, weather permitting.

Oklahoma Woman Killed in Pottawatomie County Rollover Crash

A 74-year-old woman from Oklahoma, Marsa Chandler, died following a single-vehicle rollover crash on K-99 highway near Westmoreland. The accident occurred when a Pontiac Solstice veered off the road. The driver, 66-year-old Shirley Riegel, sustained serious injuries and was also hospitalized. The sheriff's office is investigating the incident.
